Porcelain Veneers
If you are looking to improve your smile, porcelain veneers may be in your future. Dental veneers cover the surface of your teeth with thin shells of porcelain, tooth-like materials. This gives you a whiter, brighter and more uniform smile.
Veneers are both aesthetic and functional. They protect any damaged surfaces, fix the shape of the tooth, and whiten your smile. Porcelain veneers are a single, convenient solution to several dental problems.
- Cover up darkened or discoloured teeth
- Close between teeth gaps
- Reshape misshapen or distorted teeth
- Straighten overlapping or slightly crooked teeth
- Repair cracks and chips
- Hide worn enamel
- Lengthen or shorten uneven teeth
A porcelain veneer covers up a single damaged tooth or revitalises your whole smile with a complete set.
How Do Porcelain Veneers Look?
The porcelain material used in dental veneers imitates the translucent appearance of natural teeth. If you are covering only one tooth, it is virtually undetectable. If you revive your entire smile, expect it to be more youthful and bright.
4 Steps to Get Porcelain Veneers
As with any cosmetic-dentistry, there is more than one step to the process of getting porcelain veneers. These are the 4 simple steps to a whiter, brighter, more beautiful smile.
Step #1 – Initial Consultation
First, your FREE initial consultation with Brandon Dental Care includes a dental exam, and time to discuss your smile. We assess your teeth and help you make the decision if porcelain veneers are right for you.

Step #2 – Tooth Preparation
Next, your teeth need to be prepared for the additional thickness of veneers. A thin layer of tooth structure is removed to make way for the paper-thin veneer. Tooth preparation makes the porcelain blend in naturally with the rest of your teeth. How much preparation is necessary varies.
Step #3 – Manufacture
Once your teeth have been prepared, then impressions and photos are taken and sent to the lab. The lab makes customised dental veneers to perfectly match your smile’s colour and tooth shape.
Step #4 – Application
Finally, once the veneers are completed, they are carefully bonded to each tooth surface. At Brandon Dental Care we use a specialised dental adhesive and always check for matching colour and a comfortable fit.
